Any time you compose an email in CERVIS, you have the option to send it immediately or to schedule delivery of the message. You can schedule a message to be sent up to thirty days in advance and to be sent at a certain time by the hour (i.e. 7:00pm). The email will be sent at the scheduled time whether you are signed into the system or not.
To SCHEDULE an email for future delivery, follow the steps below:
- Login to your CERVIS Account.
- Navigate to any screen where you can send an email. For more information about sending an email through CERVIS, see the knowledge base article HERE.
- Compose your entire email including recipients, subject, email message, and any attachments.
- Click the Schedule E-mail Delivery button.
- In the Schedule Date selection boxes, choose the date and time that you would like for the email to be sent.
- Click the Schedule E-mail button.
When you schedule an email to be sent, CERVIS will create a record in the System Log for the scheduled message. This is where you can access the message in order to view or cancel it, but it cannot be edited after it is scheduled. Note that only users with Administrator access to the system can cancel scheduled emails.
To CANCEL a scheduled email, follow the steps below:
- Login to your CERVIS Account.
- Click on the System Log link under the "System Management" section of the Main Dashboard.
- Type Scheduled in the search box and click the Search System Log button
- Click on the View E-mail Message button () next to the entry.
- Click on the trash can button () to the right of the “Message Date/Time” field to delete the scheduled email message (as you can see in the image below).
