Once you have tracked registration sources for a particular opportunity, as outlined in the knowledge base article HERE, you can view the source information in two different ways. In either option, when you are looking at the registration sources used, you may see any of the following sources that are built into the system in addition to the ones that you create:
- If no source tag is used, the registration will be listed as "direct"
- If an administrator or event organizer registers a volunteer for an event manually, the registration will be listed as "admin"
- If a volunteer registers on-site via walk-in registration, the registration will be listed as "walk-in"
Option 1: Download the Summary Report for one or more events to see the total number of volunteers that used each source tag for that opportunity. Follow the steps below to download the Summary Report:
- Login to your CERVIS Account.
- Click on Search / Manage Existing Opportunities under the “Opportunity Management” heading on the Main Dashboard.
- Search for the opportunity/opportunities in question.
- Select the opportunity/opportunities for which you would like to print a summary by clicking the checkbox next to each opportunity.
- Choose the option to Print Summary Report in either the PDF or Word format from the selection box under the Opportunity Listing.
- Click the button to the left of the selection box with the same name to begin the download.

Option 2: Use the Custom Participation Report to see the source each volunteer used to register for an opportunity. Follow the steps below to do so:
- Login to your CERVIS account.
- Click on Search / Manage Existing Opportunities under the “Opportunity Management” heading on the Main Dashboard.
- Search for the opportunity/opportunities in question. NOTE: It is important that your search result(s) are exactly the opportunity or opportunities that you want to view in your report, because the Custom Participation Report will use these results as the starting query for the report.
- Click the Main Dashboard button at the bottom of the page.
- Click on the Report Management link under the "Volunteer Management" section of the Main Dashboard.
- Enter the desired report date range at the top of the Report Management screen. This should include the date of the opportunity/opportunities that you are reporting on.
- In the first report option, the "Custom Participation Report", select Previous Opportunity Search from the 2nd "Query" selection box.
- In the "Report Field Selection" box, select to include the Opportunity Registration Source field as well as any other fields that you want included in the report.
- Click the Run Report button.
