What is the Secondary Interest Category?
Answer:
The Secondary Interest Category is an additional Interest Category that can optionally be added to each opportunity that already exists within your console or to any new opportunity which is being created. The purpose of the Secondary Interest Category is to afford more flexibility in reporting hours and sorting information for volunteers to view.
Secondary Interest Categories impact reporting by allowing you to create an opportunity associated with two Interest Categories. As a result, you will be able to run reports that will include the specific opportunity using either the Primary or Secondary Interest Category. In addition to the added reporting options, when website administrators create pre-sorted event or service project listing pages using an Interest Category, the filter will include both Primary and Secondary Interest Categories.
