Question:
We currently are Monthly Plan customers (paying month-to-month) and our major event for the year is over. We will not need to use CERVIS again for another six months. What options do we have available for our account?
Answer:
As a Monthly Plan customer, there are three options available depending on your needs:
- You may downgrade your account at the end of any paid monthly period to a lower edition of CERVIS. This will allow your organization to save money during any periods between major events, and will still allow you to access the system and be able to use some features of the system, such as sending email or finding volunteer contact information. You are able to upgrade your account again at any time to restore original functionality once you begin preparation for a major event. There is no fee for upgrading or downgrading your account, but a change period may not be for less than 1 month in duration and if the change is made on or after the first of the month, your monthly payment for that month will not be refunded or prorated.
- You may downgrade your account at the end of any paid monthly period to our Data Storage Plan. This will allow your organization to save money during any periods between major events. Unlike downgrading to a lower CERVIS edition, the Data Storage Plan option will NOT allow you to have any access to your system during this period. You are able to upgrade your account again at any time to restore original functionality once you begin preparation for a major event. There is no fee for upgrading or downgrading your account to data storage, but a change period may not be for less than 1 month in duration and if the change is made on or after the first of the month, your monthly payment for that month will not be refunded or prorated.
- You may decide at the end of any paid monthly period to have your account canceled. This will allow your organization to save money during any periods between major events. Unlike downgrading to a lower CERVIS edition or the data storage plan, the canceled account option will remove all volunteer data and event history from your account. When you decide to use CERVIS again you will have to start over from scratch with rebuilding your volunteer and event data and will be subject to all the same account activation and advanced setup fees as when you initially established your account.
