The Opportunity Management Settings section is where you’ll find settings that correspond with all three types of opportunities in your system: Normal, Time Slot, and Service Projects. Various display options, additional Event Leader, Group Leader, and Organizer permissions, as well as determining when opportunities are archived, are among some of the settings included.
-
Track/Manage Volunteer Events: Events are considered as one-time or short-term opportunities with dates and times associated with them. For more information about the different types of events and projects, please see the Knowledge Base Article linked HERE. Select whether or not you would like to enable these within CERVIS and to what level.
- ‘Disabled’ - Events cannot be used or created in your system.
- ‘Enabled – All Logins’ - Everyone can view, apply for, or register for events. You will still have the option to make each event hidden or publicly visible.
- Enabled - Privileged Login Only - This keeps Normal and Time Slot Events enabled on the Admin side, but hides them from volunteers. Only those with Administrator or Leadership Team will be able to access, create, view and register volunteers for Events.
-
Track/Manage Volunteer Service Projects: Service Projects are considered as long-form, or ongoing opportunities that aren’t associated with a particular date and time, but instead are available during a specific date range. This allows activity to be recorded whenever it is served. For more information about Events and Projects, please see the Knowledge Base Article linked HERE. Select whether or not you would like to enable these within CERVIS and to what level.
