The Organization Information section of your “System Configuration” includes how your organization name will appear in your console as well as the primary contact information and email addresses for your system. See below for more details about each of the fields in this section.
- CERVIS Organization ID: This number is automatically assigned and used to embed CERVIS into your website. For more information about this, please refer to the Knowledge Base Article linked HERE.
- Organization Long Name: This is the official name for your organization that will appear in multiple areas throughout the system and as the ‘From’ title on any emails sent from within CERVIS.
- Organization Short Name: This is a shortened name or abbreviation for your organization that will appear in multiple areas throughout CERVIS. This version can have less characters than the Long Name so that it can fit into tighter spaces. If your full name fits in this field, you can leave it the same in both places.
- Primary Organizational E-mail: This is the primary email address for the organization and this email address will also receive a copy of all emails sent manually by a staff member from within CERVIS. If you would like to disable this functionality, contact CERVIS Customer Support.
- System E-mails Sent From: This is the email address that will appear as the ‘From’ address for any emails sent from within CERVIS. Most organizations like for this to be a generic email address such as “volunteer@organization.org”. This email address can only be changed by CERVIS Customer Support once your SPF and DKIM records are updated. CLICK HERE to learn more about how to update these records and change your email.
- Organization Support E-mail: This is the email address that will receive any user support requests from the “Contact Us'' page within CERVIS. By default this is the same as the Primary Organizational E-mail, but can be changed to any email address.
- Primary Organization Contact Name: This is the name of the person or office that is your organization's primary point of contact and will be listed for volunteers to see on the “Contact Us” page.
- Primary Organization Contact Phone: This is the phone number for the person or office that is your organization’s primary point of contact and will be listed for volunteers to see on the “Contact Us” page. If you do not want to display a phone number on the “Contact Us” page, then enter all zeros for the phone number (e.g. 000-000-0000 or 000 000 0000).
