The Sign-in Console / Kiosk Options section is where you will determine the global settings that apply to your Sign-in Console and Mobile Sign-in.
The Sign-in Console is a kiosk that you can open on any device with an internet connection, where volunteers can sign in when they arrive and sign out when they leave. One notable setting is to “Allow Walk-in Registration via Sign-in Console” which would allow your volunteers to register for opportunities when they arrive and use the sign-in console instead of needing to be pre-registered. Mobile Volunteer Sign-in is a setting you can enable on certain opportunities to allow volunteers to sign in using their own smartphone. To learn more about Mobile Sign-in, refer to the article linked HERE.
In this section, you can enable settings that will affect one or both of the sign-in methods mentioned above. A few of these settings include a questionnaire that you can present to volunteers when signing in, or whether or not you want to allow volunteers to create a profile and register for an opportunity onsite using the Sign-in Console.

Allow Walk-in Registration via the Sign-in Console / Kiosk: Select whether or not you would like to allow individuals to sign in for an event via the Sign-in Console, even if they have not pre-registered for the event.
- Yes - w/ Reservation Codes - with this option, the system includes a selection box next to the sign-in button on the screen to allow volunteers to select a Reservation Code as part of the sign-in process. Volunteers who aren't using a Reservation Code can just sign in as normal, and volunteers wanting to use the Reservation Code can just select it from the box before clicking the sign-in button.
- Enable Sign-in Console / Kiosk "Automatic Sign-out": When enabled, this option will automatically identify and sign out any volunteers who signed in but did not sign back out of the Sign-in Console. This search is run in the early morning hours and will automatically assign the selected number of hours as hours served. NOTE: This value is only used when an opportunity-specific Service Credit Hours value has not already been set.
- Print "On-Demand" Nametags from Sign-in Console / Kiosk: This option allows you to print individual name tag labels as a volunteer signs in to an event via the Sign-in Console. To use this option, you MUST HAVE a DYMO LabelWriter ® Printer installed.
- Sign-in Console / Kiosk Locations: If you are using Sign-in Consoles at multiple locations, please specify location names in a comma-separated format. For example, if you have a console/kiosk in the office and one in the warehouse, you will enter: Office, Warehouse in this field. If you only have a single location, please leave this field blank.
- Sign-in Console Custom Question #1 - #3 Type: Enable if you want a question asked to volunteers when signing in for an opportunity. Choose the type of format, if required/optional, and if this question is asked using the Sign-in Console and/or Mobile Sign-in.
- Sign-in Console Custom Question #1 - #3 Text: The text of the question you want to ask volunteers when signing in for an opportunity.
- Sign-in Console Custom Question #1 - #3 Options: Options you wish to include for volunteers to select from when answering this question. Include as a comma-separated list (i.e. Option1,Option2,etc). Only used for 'Selection Box' type questions.
- Sign-in Console Custom Question #1 - #3 Required Answer: Require an answer that volunteers must select when answering this question. Only used for 'Selection Box' type questions. When used, if volunteers do not answer in this specified way, they will be unable to sign in.
- Sign-in Console Custom Question Failure Message: The error message that is displayed when a volunteer selects any option other than the required answer when answering a Sign-in Console Custom Question. Defaulted answer:

- Display 'Terms & Conditions' during Sign-in: Require individuals who have not already accepted your posted Terms & Conditions to do so when signing in for an event. Choose to require when volunteers are signing in using the Sign-in Console and/or Mobile Sign-in.
- Sign-in Console Verification Method: Specify whether or not an individual will have to verify the last four digits of their phone number when signing in for an event via the Sign-in Console. NOTE: This option will be automatically enabled when requiring individuals to accept 'Terms and Conditions' via the Sign-in Console.

Show Listing of Signed In Volunteers in the Sign-in Console: Select whether or not you would like to display a listing of volunteers already signed in to the console on the welcome screen for the Sign-in Console
- Yes - Admin Mode - Allows this listing to be visible to only Admins in your system.
- Allow Activity History Access via Sign-in Console: Select whether or not you would like to allow individuals to view their activity history via the Sign-in Console.
Enable QR Code Sign-in: This option allows you to enable printing and scanning QR Codes for an expedited volunteer check-in process via the Sign-in Console.
