The Merge Opportunity tool helps you simplify your volunteer listings by combining multiple opportunities into one — ideal for keeping your opportunity listing focused and streamlined by:

Eliminating Duplicate Listings: Clean up your system and reduce confusion by merging identical or overlapping opportunities.

Consolidating Similar Events: Bring together events that serve the same purpose under one streamlined listing.
- Reorganizing Volunteer Offerings: Restructure your opportunities for better management and a more user-friendly experience.
How to Merge Opportunities:
- From the Opportunity Management Dashboard, manually select only those opportunities you desire to merge.
- Choose the Merge Selected Opportunities option found in the "Opportunity Management Bulk Actions" dropdown and click the associated button.

Select your Merge Destination from the listed options.
- As a reminder, merging opportunities together will combine all of the selected opportunities and registered volunteers into a single opportunity. Once completed, this action CANNOT BE UNDONE, and the original opportunities will be PERMANENTLY DELETED (although all registrations will be preserved).
- Confirm your merge action. If you aren’t completely sure you understand this merge action, click the Cancel button and contact our Support Team for assistance.
- If your chosen destination was to create and merge into a new opportunity for your selected merged opportunities to be housed in, you can locate it on your Opportunity Management Dashboard under the name New Merged Opportunity.

If your chosen destination was to merge into an existing opportunity for your selected merged opportunities to be housed in, you can locate it on your Opportunity Management Dashboard under the name of the opportunity you previously chose.
