The 'Pending' status indicates a volunteer did not sign in to their registered opportunity which has already occurred. This means service hours have not yet been applied to their profile and therefore it is temporarily being indicated on the volunteer’s Registration History as “(Pending).”
This delay allows Administrators to review and verify service participation by marking the volunteer as a ‘No Show’ when necessary. This 'Pending' status is temporary and will clear at the end of the next day after the opportunity. At that point if the volunteer has not been marked as a 'No Show,’ or the service hours have not been manually adjusted, then the original service hours will be automatically credited to the volunteer's record and added to their Total Completed Service Hours. At this time the (Pending) status will also fall off.
This function is helpful in preventing volunteers from falsely reporting hours without having completed actual service and is an additional layer of accountability and accuracy ensuring that volunteers are only credited for hours they have actually completed.
