Since this link is designed for ease of access, it does not require a user to log in with credentials before opening the Sign-in Console. Anyone who has access to the link can open the console from any internet-connected device; for this reason, we discourage sharing this link broadly.
Instead, we strongly recommend treating the link as confidential and following these best practices:
- Share the link only with staff members or trusted individuals who manage volunteer sign-in.
- Limit distribution of the link to the smallest number of people necessary.
- Do not post the link on public websites, social media pages, newsletters, or other publicly accessible locations.
- Never distribute the link directly to volunteers.
Since your Sign-in Console link can include specific settings or filters, here are a few things to consider when you request your link from our Customer Support Team:
Default Console Configuration
The link provided will open your Sign-in Console using its default settings. For many organizations, this setup works perfectly. However, additional configurations are available if your volunteer program has more specialized needs.
Interest Category or Tag-Specific
Limit the console to include sign-in for only opportunities associated with a particular Interest Category and/or Tag, streamlining the sign-in experience for volunteers participating in specific programs or events.
Creating New Accounts Via Walk-in Registration
If your organization has enabled walk-in volunteer registration, we can provide a console link configured to not allow new volunteers to create a profile or to have volunteers create a new account with the QuickReg application. This funnels new volunteers to register on-site using a truncated version of your general profile/application.
Nametag Printing
Organizations utilizing nametag printers can request a console link configured to support nametag generation and printing as a part of the sign-in process.
