Website Integration Variables

When you are using an iframe as your means of integrating CERVIS into your website, you can use a list of variables to increase the choices of how you direct volunteers and use more precise links to simplify the registration process without the need to add many pages to your website. This is accomplished via the use of our javascript for resizing the embedded iframe and some specific variables that we have created.

To use these variables, you will need to have the iframe for your Opportunity Listing page integrated into your website. Once that is in place, you can simply add the below information to the end of your URL replacing values like "nnn" with the appropriate number or date or zip code. This can be added to links on your website or to links that you send to volunteers directly. For example, if your website is www.cervistech.info/embedexample, you can customize this page to view your Volunteer Application page by instead linking to www.cervistech.info/embedexample?console_type=application.

The full list of available variables that can be used in this capacity and their rules are below:

• ?console_type=application
  • Direct Application Page
    • Optionally also add &autofocus=no to prevent the page from scrolling to the first field automatically.
• ?console_type=quickapp
  • QuickReg application
    • Optionally also add &autofocus=no to prevent the page from scrolling to the first field automatically.
• ?console_type=check
  • Account Check Page
    • Also known as the Volunteer Login Page.
• ?console_type=group
  • Group Request Form
    • Optionally also add &autofocus=no to prevent the page from scrolling to the first field automatically.
• ?console_type=request
  • Project Request Form
    • Optionally also add &autofocus=no to prevent the page from scrolling to the first field automatically.
• ?console_type=date
  • Opportunity Listing Page - Calendar View

• ?cat_id=nnn
  • Filter your Opportunity Listing Page by one or more Interest Categories
    • Replace nnn with the Interest Category ID number.
    • Use a dash between multiples for “or” and an underscore for “and” (e.g. &cat_id=26-27 or &cat_id=26_27)
• ?keyword=nnn
  • Filter your Opportunity Listing Page by a keyword.
    • Replace nnn with your keyword.
• ?keyword=*nnn
  • Filter your Opportunity Listing Page by a Tag.
    • Ensure that the * remains and that you replace nnn with the full tag.
• ?filter_date=YYYY-MM-DD
  • Filter your Opportunity Listing Page by a particular date.
• ?zip=nnnnn&zip_radius=nnn
  • Filter your Opportunity Listing Page by a mile radius around a particular zip code.
    • Replace nnnnn with a five-digit Zip Code.
    • Replace nnn with your mile radius around the zip code
• ?console_type=event_list&event_id=nnn
  • Link directly to a specific Opportunity
    • Replace nnn with the specific Opportunity ID.
• ?filter_choice=show
  • Use this to automatically expand the filter options on the event listing page.
    • This can be used in conjunction with other variables.
• ?source=nnn
  • Used to track registrations and potentially new accounts created via this particular link
    • Replace nnn with the label for the source you are tracking.
    • This can be used in conjunction with other variables.
