It would be great if we could assign awards by specific events. This way rather then everyone in our database being assigned a certain award, only those who are registered for a certain event receive the award.

Hi Olinda,
This functionality actually already exists in the system as it was added in version 9.3 back in May 2021. You can link an award to registration into a specific opportunity by updating the "Assign Linked Award" field under the "Advanced Options" section when updating the opportunity.

So if I create an award for it to only be linked to a specific event it would still need to be manual correct? I couldn't link an automatic award because then everyone in the database would qualify regardless of if it was linked or not?

Hi Olinda,
You would create the award as a "Manual" award, but when it is linked to an opportunity, it is automatically awarded to the volunteer after the opportunity is completed.
