If the volunteer's email address is changed, the email history is erased. Is it possible to keep the email history if an address is changed? Perhaps the ‘Message Recipients’ box when viewing emails on a volunteer's profile can be emphasized some how to show what email address was used for the volunteer.
Sometimes a volunteer wants their email address removed completely, or we want to ensure no emails are sent to them again ever (because they are ineligible to volunteer), but want to keep the email history on file. Is there a way to keep email history but also remove an email address?

Yes, this would be so very helpful to have! At the moment, I'm making extra efforts to email through the system so those emails are documented in a volunteer's profile and still haven't quite absorbed (we're less than a year into using our system) that these email records will be lost if a volunteer selects to update their email, which happens occasionally.
Kim, I'd say at minimum just make sure you are always copied on the emails, because at least you'd have a record of them in your work inbox. Not as good as being available to an entire team, or, not helpful when thinking about succession planning, but might be a good work around.
