Send automatic email to volunteer list when someone cancels event

It would be great if an automatic email could go out to all volunteers when one cancels their reservation. For example, Mr. X is assigned to deliver meals on Wed at 9 AM. Mr. X cancels his reservation on Tuesday night. An automatic email goes out to all volunteers with the ability to register for this opportunity.
