I'd like to gather demographic information about our volunteers and want to walk the fine line between privacy and statistics. I'm not wild about asking for a birthdate (a women should never tell her age) but I'm okay with getting a range. Currently the age group ranges are set at: 0-5 years, 6-10 years, 11-17 years and 18 and over. Can we have those modifiable? I'd like to do something like: 1-10 years, 11-20 years, 21-30 years, 31-40 years, 41-50 years, 51-60 years, 61-70 years and Over 70. With this demographic data I can target my marketing programs at the age group(s) where I'm weakest.

There is not a way to edit the built-in age group fields, but you can easily disable the built-in age group question and create a custom profile field with any age ranges that you need.
