In order to prevent last-minute registrations, or to allow preparation time for events, enable automatic closure of events and time slots based on x number of days prior. Currently you can only do this manually and cannot close individual time slots.
I.E. If you set an event to close "2 days before the event's start date" you would have a confirmed number of volunteers two days before the event, allowing you to prepare appropriately.

I love this option idea! I agree, we often need to take events down a couple of days in advance because last minute volunteer sign-ups are difficult to manage. Having the option to close a position a day or two in advance is very helpful and choosing that up front, when we create the event, is event better rather than going back to take the event down. I concur that this option needs to be created.
