You have always been able to track the status of background checks that you have performed independently on your volunteers within CERVIS, but you now have the option to use our fully integrated background check functionality. We have partnered with Backgrounds Online to use their background check processing service, while managing every step of the interaction through your CERVIS console. Backgrounds Online provides compliant background checks that help you make informed decisions, create a safe workplace and protect your organization. CERVIS has an exclusive agreement with Backgrounds Online that provides you with special discounted pricing; for information about pricing please click here. Integrating your existing Backgrounds Online account with CERVIS is free and does not increase your monthly or annual fees. Payment for background checks is configured and completed through Backgrounds Online.
To begin using this feature, click the link HERE and fill out the form at the bottom of the page to create an account with Backgrounds Online. It will take between 24 and 48 hours for Backgrounds Online to review your information and for your account to become active.
After you have created an account with Backgrounds Online, you will need to enter your Backgrounds Online AccountID along with your username and password into CERVIS. You can find your AccountID by logging into your Backgrounds Online account, clicking on the profile menu on the top right side of the page and then clicking on “Integrations” (see image below).
Once you have located the information from your Backgrounds Online account, you can enter it into CERVIS by following the steps below:
- Login to your CERVIS account.
- From the Main Dashboard, click on “Edit System Configuration” under the “System Management” heading.
- Locate the “Background Check Integration” section near the bottom of the page and click on it to expand it.
- Input the three required fields from your Backgrounds Online account (see the image below).
- Click “Update Configuration” to complete the integration.
