CERVIS v2.7.0 - Jan 18, 2013
New Features:
Please note, not all new features are available to Basic and Standard Edition customers.
Auto Close Event Registration
Automatically close event registration to allow time for final event preparation prior to the event. This option is event-specific. When creating or updating the event, set the "Automatically Close Event Registration" field to close the event registration up to 7 days prior to the event.
Paid Events
We are excited to offer our customers the ability to create "Paid" Events in CERVIS. "Paid" Events use a PayPal Website Payments Standard account or Authorize.net account to process credit card payments and requires the volunteer/registrant to pay prior to completing the event registration. If you would like to have this feature enabled for your account, please open a support ticket. Please note, we do not charge transaction fees or take a percentage of your sales for your Paid Events. However, there is a one-time set-up fee of $300.00 to enable "Paid" events for your account.
Calendar Reminders
Event registration confirmation email messages have been updated to include links for iCal (Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.) and gCal (Google) functionality which will allow volunteers to easily add scheduled volunteer opportunities to their personal electronic calendar.
Edit System-Wide Font Family
Select between several different web-safe font-families in the System Configuration to ensure that page text more closely matches your organization's desired branding. If the available font-families don't meet your needs, please open a support ticket and ask about adding additional fonts.
Edit System Visual Style
Select from 4 different visual styles in the System Configuration to ensure form elements and system messages more closely match your organization's desired branding.
Multi-Slot Registration
Volunteers now have the ability to register for multiple time slots at the same time. This option is event-specific. When creating or updating the event, set the "Allow Multiple Time Slot Registrations" field to "Yes" to allow volunteers to select multiple time slots at one time and register for them all at once. By selecting the "No" option, volunteers can only register for one time slot for that event - even if they log out and log back in again.
Individual Time Slot Status
You can now specify a unique status for each individual time slot within a time slot event, instead of having only one status for the entire event. Need to mark a single time slot as "Coming Soon" or want to close registration for a single time slot, now you can.
Contact Us Event Status
You now have the option to display the event status as "Contact Us." If you choose this event status, the event will still display on the Event Listing and Registration webpage, but not allow volunteers to self-register. Volunteers interested in registering for the event will see a message pointing them to the contact information for the person who will assist them in registering for the event.
Group Association for Reservation Codes
Add an associated group when creating or updating a reservation code to automatically add the associated group to a volunteer's profile when they register for an event using the reservation code.
Event/Project Participation Report
Added a new "Reservation Code" detail level option for the Event/Project Participation Report to display a summary of reservation code usage broken down per event.
CERVIS API Update
The CERVIS API has been updated to include secondary interest category information and time slot status information.
System Log Size
The system log has been increased from 2,000 to 3,000 entries.
Reservation Codes for Hidden Events
Hidden events will now become visible when a volunteer enters a reservation code assigned to the event. Use this feature to completely hide an event from the general public but allow them to be seen by individuals with the proper reservation code.
Removed Features:
Removed Onscreen keyboard support option from the system configuration. This option was only in place for legacy touch monitor systems that did not incorporate an automatic pop-up keyboard. The removal of this feature will not impact modern touch devices such as iPad, Android, or other mobile platforms.
