I have several events configured with registration restrictions based on custom fields, groups, and gender. The restrictions work fine when the volunteer is trying to register online for themselves, but when I login as an Administrator, I am able to register anyone for the events, even those that do not meet the specified criteria. Why is this happening?
This behavior is allowed by design. When a user with the "Administrator", "Leadership Team", "Group Leader", or "Event Leader" access level attempts to register a volunteer for an event, any configured restrictions are not implemented. This is done to allow authorized users within your organization to override any configured restrictions without having to update a volunteer's information or change the event. Anytime that an administrator wants to register a volunteer for an event with restrictions they will also be alerted to the restriction if the volunteer does not meet the requirements.
